Thursday, March 9, 2017 So much time has passed... it still seems like just last year. But as evidence to the passage of time, I got a message last week that Google had blacklisted bigdaddypie.org as a site containing malware! I looked into it, and apparently, one of the links on page to some website was not a link to a malware-infested site. This gave me the perfect opportunity to re-create the site in a modern form, and update everything. The blacklist has been taken care of, and the new version of the site is up and running. I remain, as ever, the virtual caretaker of this site, and it is my honor to be able to do so." -Jeff Smith

Wednesday, July 7, 2010 bigdaddypie.org is now at its new host and home, and is hopefully a bit more secure too. There's a new guestbook script for the new server, but I've linked the old guestbook to it so that all the comments over the last nine years are still readable. I still come here every day to make sure nothing's happened to the site, and no one's scrawled virtual grafitti on the guestbook. I'm the virtual caretaker I guess. ;)" -Jeff Smith

Sunday, February 26, 2006 At long last, time permitted me to shuffle the main pictures. There are so many great images of Mike that I wanted to get more out there, some of the pics of Mike with his friends, and a couple real personality shots (just refresh a few times, you'll see the one that leaps to mind in that category ;) I hope you enjoy the new images, I know I will. I come here every day." -Jeff Smith

Friday, January 6, 2006 Did a little maintenance on the site, mainly updating links. I also added the link to the new PieCon forums in the conventions page. If you see anything that isn't working, please let me know." -Jeff Smith

Monday, March 28, 2005 At the request of Tim Tilton, I've added a link to a page that tells you a little about the two Mike Pyorala honorary gaming conventions held annually in Pie's honor. You'll find the link at the top of the menu on each page." -Jeff Smith

Friday, January 28, 2005 Well, we're back. Finally. A word to the wise: If you're looking for someone to purchase an internet sitename through, do not go through Register.com. They're more expensive, and once we determined we would change registrars, it took us months of hassle, including e-amils to the .ORG ICANN as well, to get them to release the domain so we could transfer it elsewhere. Fortunately, that's all behind us now, and we're back. And we have a gaming convention on the site now as well. We're still here, Pie, we're still doin' what we can, and you're still in our thoughts constantly." -Jeff Smith

Saturday, November 1, 2003 Some small amoutn of updating. I added a button to the bottom that links to the "Pie-Con" site, as well as updating the information on Pi's book, "The Stranger Society." This has been printed and is avilable for purchase. Details are the "Pie's Book" page. I'll try to get a scan of the cover up as soon as possible. And don't forget PieCon II: The Wrath of Puddin', coming the weekend between Christmas and New Years!" -Jeff Smith

Saturday, February 16, 2002 Second Update: "In attempting to fix the Guestbook, I also noticed that there were other small problems with the site. All of these minor nuisances have now been resolved. :) The Guestbook is back online and functioning properly as well." -Jeff Smith

Saturday, February 16, 2002 "Last night I digitized the entire Memorial service from last October. I've uploaded it after converting it to .mp3 format (that takes the least time to download) and split it up into five pieces. I've also been informed that the guestbook script isn't working, I'll try to figure that out and get it working again as soon as I can. It appears that the website is now finished. This doesn't mean that we won't take any/all submissions, because we will, but if we don't get anything else, I think the website now fulfills its purpose... to create a lasting tribute to Pi. Please let me know if there are any other problems with the site, this is one I want to be perfect." -Jeff Smith

Monday, January 21, 2002 "The website was down for the weekend, due to the server having to have its operating system re-installed on it. Fortuately, it's fixed, things are back to normal, and there is an update done and another coming. Over the weekend I was back in Adrian and got Jen Elenbaas' eulogy, which is now up, and the audio cassette of the funeral service, which I hope to have time to translate into downloadable computer files this coming weekend, time permitting." -Jeff Smith

Monday, January 14, 2002 "I received a new picture for the "Brothers of ATO" section of Pictures, from Matt Gwinn, which is now up and online. I'm still waiting on Jenn Elenbaas' eulogy, and the tapes of the service. I'll be inquiring about those this week." -Jeff Smith

Friday, December 7, 2001 "I decided this would be a good idea, to make a page where the latest updates can be listed so those looking at the site can see quickly what's new. Scott Knipe's Eulogy from the funeral service has been added to the stories page, and I'm told that there is an audio recording of the entire service out there. If/when I get a copy of it, I'll convert it to mp3 format and place it up on the site as well. In the meantime, please do send in any pictures or stories that you have to add to the site. This is for everyone who loves Pie, and I'd like everyone to feel a part of it." -Jeff Smith
